beetroots asked: I don't understand why you felt the need to condescend to me for calling out a problem in the scene. I'm genuinely interested why so many people are quick to defended the inaccessibility of punk, especially when it comes to an out of town band instead of a party.
Hey now! No need to become so defensive. I didn’t mean to upset you in any way. I was simply trying to voice that yes, they can be assholes sometimes. But I dont see why you would be so offended that someone was being pushy-pushy and loud in a crowd at a show. Especially at that house. I understand that those kinds of things are not what you are used to but with that crowd it is the norm. The reason I am so quick to defend that crowd is because I do in fact know a fair amount of those kids so when you say things like “go get another ugly tattoo and drink a cheap 40” yeah. Im going to defend them. You seem like you spend a large amount of time trying to stop stereotyping when you in fact are doing it yourself and being quite rude about it. If someone were to say anything of the sort about you or your friends or a crowd you identify with, im sure you would flip a shit and stand up for them as well. Since you find the punk scene so vastly inaccessible and feel the need to make fun of it/stereotype anyone associated why would you go to shows and then get all upset over tumblr?
